Hokkaido Buffet Dining at Oe Honke

A Taste of Hokkaido,
Shared Around the Table
Discover Hokkaido buffet dining at Oe Honke, where seasonal ingredients, Japanese favorites and freshly prepared dishes come together at TREE MARCH.
A memorable journey is made of many small moments: a relaxing soak in a natural hot spring, discovering a new place, and sharing a good meal at the end of the day.
At Oe Honke in Onneyu Onsen, we bring the flavors of eastern Hokkaido to the table. Our aim is simple: to make dining enjoyable, welcoming and comfortable for every guest.
Welcome to Buffet TREE MARCH
TREE MARCH is Oe Honke's buffet dining restaurant, where guests can enjoy a wide variety of dishes in a warm and relaxed setting.
The buffet dining area was renewed in 2024, bringing a refreshed atmosphere to a hotel whose story began in 1899.
Today, our approach brings together longstanding hospitality and the pleasure of choosing what you would like to eat.
This guide introduces the buffet experience. Buffet availability depends on the selected accommodation plan and operating date.
Dinner Buffet: Flavors of Hokkaido and Japan
Eastern Hokkaido is known for its seafood, agricultural products and wide open landscapes. At Oe Honke, we make use of ingredients from Hokkaido and the Okhotsk region wherever practical.
Our approximately 70-item Japanese and Western dinner buffet offers an opportunity to try a variety of flavors in one meal. Depending on the day and season, selections may include sushi, sashimi, steak, noodle dishes, vegetables and desserts.
Enjoy familiar favorites or try something you have never eaten before. You can choose your own combination and return for another dish at your own pace.
Local Ingredients, Seasonal Choices
The Okhotsk region is home to fresh seafood, agricultural produce and other ingredients that help shape Hokkaido's food culture.
Oe Honke's cooking includes locally inspired dishes and ingredients such as Hokkaido seafood and vegetables from the Kitami area.
The exact menu changes according to season, ingredients and availability. No individual dish is guaranteed on every dining date.
Experience dishes inspired by Japanese food culture, including seafood, rice and noodle selections.
Enjoy satisfying cooked dishes, with selections that change depending on the daily menu.
Finish your meal with desserts. Soft-serve ice cream is among the buffet's familiar offerings.
Choose the right dining plan.
Oe Honke also offers accommodation plans with Japanese-style set-course dinners. The approximately 70-item buffet is available with eligible buffet plans, not automatically with every reservation.
Enjoy the Energy of Live Cooking
One of the pleasures of buffet dining is seeing food prepared close to where it will be served.
At TREE MARCH, the live-cooking stations bring a lively element to dinner. Freshly prepared dishes are part of the experience, with offerings that vary according to the menu.
Whether you are discovering a Japanese dish for the first time or choosing a familiar favorite, we hope the meal becomes one of the enjoyable moments of your trip.
Live-cooking dishes and service arrangements vary with the operating date and menu.
Start Your Morning with a Hokkaido Breakfast
A day of traveling through eastern Hokkaido deserves a good breakfast.
When buffet breakfast is served, guests can choose from approximately 55 Japanese and Western selections. Options may include rice, traditional Japanese dishes, bread, eggs, vegetables, soup and drinks.
Prefer a Japanese-style breakfast? Try rice with side dishes. If you usually start the morning with bread and coffee, Western-style choices are also available.
A Comfortable Start to the Day
A buffet lets you choose what suits your appetite before heading out to explore Hokkaido.
Breakfast service may be buffet-style or a set meal, depending on the hotel's arrangements and your accommodation plan.
Please check whether breakfast is included when making your reservation.
Everyone Can Choose What They Enjoy
Traveling with children can make mealtimes a little more complicated. One person wants rice, another wants noodles, and someone else is looking forward to dessert.
A buffet gives family members the opportunity to choose from the dishes available that day, then enjoy the meal together.
At TREE MARCH, the pleasure is not only in eating. It can also be the time spent deciding what to try and sharing the experience as a family.
The buffet does not guarantee a separate children's menu or particular dishes. Children's meal arrangements depend on the reservation and age category.
Food Allergies and Dietary Requirements
Food allergies require careful attention. We want guests to understand our kitchen and buffet arrangements before deciding whether our dining services are suitable for them.
Which Allergens Are Listed at Our Buffet?
Our buffet currently provides allergen information for the following eight ingredients:
- Wheat
- Eggs
- Milk
- Shrimp
- Crab
- Buckwheat (soba)
- Peanuts
- Walnuts
These labels do not cover every possible food allergen.
Other allergens, including cashew nuts, almonds and soybeans, are not covered by our current eight-ingredient display.
Please do not assume that a dish is safe for your allergy simply because it does not display a particular allergen label.
Important: Allergen Cross-Contact Cannot Be Completely Prevented
Our kitchen uses shared equipment, cooking utensils and preparation areas. Buffet service also involves shared food displays and serving areas.
Even when an ingredient is not intentionally used in a dish, traces of allergens may be present through shared equipment, utensils, seasonings or serving areas.
We cannot guarantee that any meal is completely free from allergens or that allergen cross-contact can be entirely prevented.
If your allergy requires the complete avoidance of a particular ingredient, including trace amounts, please be aware that our buffet may not be suitable for your dietary needs.
Advance Inquiries and Special Meal Requests
If you have food allergies, please contact Oe Honke before making a reservation, preferably at least seven days before your intended stay.
However, advance notice does not guarantee that we can provide a suitable meal or accommodate a special dietary request.
Staff who can communicate accurately about food allergies in languages other than Japanese may not always be available.
As a result, we may be unable to fully understand or confirm detailed allergy requirements communicated in a foreign language. In such cases, we may be unable to offer special meal arrangements.
Please do not assume that a special meal or allergen-free preparation can be provided unless the hotel has clearly confirmed the arrangements.
If we cannot reliably confirm your requirements or the safety of a proposed meal, we cannot promise that the meal will be suitable for you.
Information to Include When Contacting Us
- Your planned stay date.
- The foods or ingredients to which you are allergic.
- Whether you need to avoid even trace amounts or possible cross-contact.
- The number of guests affected by the allergy.
Please understand that providing this information does not mean that the hotel can necessarily accommodate your request.
Our online contact form is currently provided in Japanese. Foreign-language assistance is not guaranteed.
Vegetarian, Vegan, Halal and Other Dietary Requirements
Guests following vegetarian, vegan, halal or other restricted diets should contact the hotel before booking.
We may be unable to provide meals that meet all dietary or religious requirements. Please do not assume special arrangements are available without confirmation from the hotel.
